Legends like Jennifer Harman, Phil Hellmuth, and Daniel Negreanu are well known off the felt for raising millions of dollars for worthy causes. Now it’s time to name the PokerUpdate.com Baller of the Month. Can I get a drumroll please?

It’s Scott Davies!

For those of you who haven’t heard of him, Scott Davies is best known for his win at the 2014 WSOP Asia-Pacific Main Event. With career earnings of approximately $1.5 million, he’s sure got some cash to throw around to live that baller lifestyle. Let’s see what exactly it was that made him September’s baller of the month.

One of the hallmarks of a true baller is flying in style. Davies may have paid for his first-class seats with miles, but when you’re dining on caviar and lobster, it’s clear that you’ve got experience enjoying the upper echelon of transportation. 10 points for Mr. Davies.

Dollars, euros, pounds? Depending on where you’re headed, as a professional poker player it’s important to have the right currency on you at all times. But wads of cash in seven currencies spread around a passport?! DAMN! That’s worth 5 points per currency.

Entering a High Roller tournament? That’s just another Friday for Scott Davies. 5 points

Flopping a Royal Flush? That’s pretty rare… doing it in a High Roller tournament? That’s baller! 10 more points

Globetrotting from Macau to Switzerland to Italy. Baller. – 5 points per country.

With an astounding 75 points, Scott Davies out-ballered the competition this month, by far!

We’ll see which star poker player will live it up next month and be our next Pokerupdate.com baller of the month.
