WSOP: Full House Pro for Xbox Live and Windows 8 Set for Spring Launch

Microsoft Studios has announced the release date of the sequel to the popular free Xbox Live Arcade (XBLA) game, Full House Poker. The new live arcade game, World Series of Poker: Full House Pro, will be available for the Xbox Live and Windows 8 platforms in the spring of 2013.

The original Full House Poker was released for the Xbox360, Xbox Live Arcade, and the Windows Phone 7 on March 16, 2011. The game succeeded the popular 1 vs. 100 and contained features such as scheduled tournaments (Texas Heat), live poker events with season-long tournaments, and traditional Texas Hold Em offerings that were capped at 30 players. Full House Poker received good reviews from video game experts and was known for a solid interface and avatar integration. It became one of the best selling Xbox Live Arcade Games in 2011 while topping the charts for a short period of time.

World Series of Poker: Full House Pro incorporates the positive aspects of its predecessor while introducing new elements. Each player begins each day with a free stack of chips that can be used in free ring games or tournaments. The game challenges players to build a bankroll through tournaments and other forms of competition. Players can compete against opponents around the world and have the option to play in a variety of Texas Hold Em offerings in single or multi-player modes.

The game also has some unique features that create a solid gaming experience. Players can interchangeably operate the game on both of the Xbox 360 and Windows 8 platforms. Gamers will be able to personalize the gaming experience with customized avatar accessories, chip tricks, and game play in actual international casino settings like the Bellagio. The game will also feature several updates, updated features, and new content in order to provide a fresh and interesting gaming experience. Finally, Lon McEachern and Norman Chad will provide the commentary in the player’s quest to dominate the game’s leader board.

The launch of World Series of Poker: Full House Pro signals the solidified free gaming market for poker. Free poker gaming has become extremely popular with live arcade games like Full House Pro and social games like Zynga Poker gaining millions of players. Furthermore, mobile poker applications have become popular internationally and regulated countries offer some real money versions. The virtual gaming market continues to develop and the next free money version will arrive in the spring.
