WeakTight.com Acquired by 180Vita

180Vita has furthered its reputation as a major provider of poker-related websites that allow players to gain increased poker knowledge and improve their poker play with the recent acquisition of WeakTight.com, the globe’s largest database of Internet poker hands.

Over 5,000 players visit WeakTight.com on a daily basis, many of whom use the site’s comprehensive poker hand conversion tool to import hand histories from a database of more than six million to get a solid read on opponents. By analyzing the play of other players, both individual hands and/or full playing sessions, astute users of the website are much better equipped to crush the competition when seated at the same virtual table in future battles.

WeakTight.com launched in 2007 and permits players to analyze cash games and tournament action from a number of poker sites in tandem with software such as PokerTracker and Hold’em Manager. 180Vita has a detailed agenda for its latest acquisition, with designs on establishing full-scale social media integration by permitting players to log on via Facebook, Twitter and Google.

We have long admired what WeakTight has done to advance online poker and we want to ensure it continues to be regarded as the best at what it does,” said 180Vita founder Jamie Nevin. “We have some very exciting plans for WeakTight, and going forward we will work on integrating it into our portfolio of sites while keeping the features which have made it so popular with online poker players around the globe.”

That portfolio of sites includes PokerTube, FootballTube, PokerVIP, and the sports tipping website, Tipday. The latter was launched in late March by the popular igaming media and entertainment company and has expanded 180Vita’s presence to the realm of sports betting.

PokerTube is the foremost authority on poker-related videos, interviews, and poker TV shows, allowing visitors to the site to view their favorite poker stars in action. That includes streaming of live tournament poker such as the wall-to-wall coverage last month of the Irish Poker Open.

PokerVIP has been signing online poker players to the best deals in the industry since 2008. Those deals have been made possible through building outstanding relationships with a number of partner poker rooms.
