Sam Trickett, the 24 year-old British poker pro, agreed to extend his contract with Titan Poker today. He will represent them until at least the end of 2011.
Trickett joined iPoker‘s Titan in March 2010 and has been representing the site at major poker events around the world.
Although relatively unheralded when he joined Titan, Trickett has hardly been out of the poker limelight this past year. He currently has $4,644,899 in live tournament earnings, and more than $4 million came during his time with Titan.
His notable wins and finishes during that time include a 2nd place finish at the 2010 WSOP $5k No-Limit Hold’em Event for $505,725, a victory at the Aussie Millions $100k No-Limit Hold’em for $1,508,258, and a 2nd place finish at the $250k Aussie Millions Super High Roller No-Limit Event for $1,384,631.
His results are striking given the fact that Trickett is considered a high stakes cash games specialist, and even says he prefers cash games more as he finds them “more challenging because decisions are often quite straight forward in tournaments.”
Trickett’s poker career began just five years ago after a knee injury ended his hopes of playing semi-professional football.
