Popular Las Vegas Dealer "Elvis Joe" Levine Shot and Killed

Joseph “Elvis Joe” Levine was one of the most popular and liked WSOP dealers. Sadly, his life ended at the age of 56 after he was shot in his Las Vegas home on Wednesday. According to the police report, the most likely culprit is Marjorie “Maggie” Fiora, a homeless woman who was arrested in the backyard of a nearby home not long after the shooting.

Fiora, 30, was swimming with two of Levine’s brothers while Joseph was inside the residence. When they got out of the water, Fiora went inside, completely naked, and a few minutes later a gunshot was heard.

As she ran away, Fiora said, “I have to kill him” to the stunned brothers, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported. When the police arrived at the scene, they found Levine with a gunshot wound to the chest and he passed away at the University Medical Center.

Many from within the poker community extended their condolences after this sad event, including WSOP officials and players like Robert Mizrachi and Victor Ramdin. Levine, who was famous for his Elivis-like appearance, will be missed by many.

The police detained Fiora and will continue investigating to shed some light on the facts pertaining to the alleged murder.
