Poker Pro Kevin Boudreau Improving

Kevin “Phwap” Boudreau is making significant progress following a brain hemorrhage suffered more than two months ago while the poker pro was in Las Vegas for the World Series of Poker.

A recent update provided by the Boudreau family at the website revealed that Boudreau will be headed to Penrose Rehab tomorrow. This is wonderful news considering that doctors did not expect the rehabilitation phase of his recovery to be undertaken until a later date.

Boudreau is “getting better every day” and continues to make progress to the point of “talking through touch with an IPad.” He was able to enjoy some ice cream on his birthday.

“It obvious that your prayers have been heard and answered, but still there’s a long journey ahead,” the Boudreau family stated. “Kevin works so hard every time he’s asked and I’m sure that surprises no one. We thank all of you for your continued thoughts, prayers and support!”

The Boudreau family’s initial goal of raising $50,000 to offset some of the medical costs has already been surpassed with $62,565 in donations received to this point. Additional donations for further medical costs and therapy are greatly appreciated.
