Philipp Gruissem Wins WSOP APAC High Roller

Despite being an event which awards no bracelet to the winner, the A$825.000 prize for first place was more than enough for Gruissem to be happy for it, being his 2nd six-figure cash at the Crown Casino in 2013.

Gruissem was knocked out from the tournament on its early stages, but was ready to go for it again and decided to re-enter, a decision that was definitely profitable for him after multiplying his investment more than 8 times!

From the field of 44, 6 players made it to the money, finishing the tournament in the following positions:

1st Place: Philipp Gruissem – A$825.000
2nd Place: Joseph Cheong – A$511.000
3rd Place: Paul Phua – A$325.000
4th Place: Lo Shing Fung – A$225.000
5th Place: Elton Tsang – A$155.000
6th Place: Tom Hall – A$115.000

Also, Daniel Negreanu JUST won the Main Event for over $1m! More information about that will be available soon.
