Phil Ivey Website Adds More Pros

Four more pro players have been added to Phil Ivey's soon-to-be launched website that will provide training and instruction in the art of playing successful poker.

Mike "GoLeafsGoEh" Leah from Canada has joined Team Ivey with a resume that includes over $3 million in career earnings. Leah most recently played an outstanding FTOPS XXI series at Full Tilt that included winning a championship in Event #28, a $300 + $22 Razz tourney that was good for $19,477.50. He then went on to finish 10th in a $200 + $16 Omaha Hi/Lo Limit event the following day and a fourth place finish the day after that for $28,194.50 in a $100 + $9 No-Limit Hold'em Rush Rebuy. He ended up in fifth place in the FTOPS XXI Leaderboard race.

On the live tourney circuit, Leah shows a tendency to excel in deep stack tournaments, taking two such first place titles in 2009 for more than $439,000 combined. The first of those was the $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Borgata $500,000 Guaranteed Deep Stack Poker Main Event in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Four months later in Las Vegas, Leah bested the field in $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Deep Stack Extravaganza III, according to the Hendon Mob database.

Also added to Ivey's stable of pros are Matias Gabrenja of Argentina, and Alex Bolotin and Justin Pechie from the United States. Gabrenja plays under the moniker of "festivuss" at PokerStars, where he has won well over half a million dollars including two first place championships this year, the most recent on Dec. 12 for $17,456.51 in the $55 buy-in, The Big $55.

Pechie's accomplishments include a title in the 2011 World Series of Poker $1,500 Limit Hold'em Shootout for $167,060. Bolotin has won over $2.1 million in his stellar career, including the championship in the WSOP $5,000 Ante Up For Africa Charity Event in 2009 that carried a prize of $176,449.

IveyPoker.com now has 17 pros on its roster, including Ivey. The site is in the latter stages of development and looks as though it may be up and running in early 2013. Many players are anxiously awaiting its launch and look forward to see just whats in store at the new site of the eight-time WSOP bracelet winner and his hand-picked impressive talent known as Team Ivey.
