Negreanu leads WSOP APAC Main Event

Yesterday was Day 1 of the WSOP APAC Main Event at the Crown Casino (Melbourne). Almost 400 players invested $10.000 to play, and that number will grow as late registration is still available. After a lot of action at the tables, Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu managed to emerge as the unofficial chip leader (It is not official because no exact chipcounts were made).

Daniel ended the day with 136.500 chips, followed by Joel Feldman with 132.050 and Phil Ivey, who apparently is not happy with his win on the Mixed event and wants more!

Other big names who are still alive on the tournament are Barry Greenstein, Greg Merson, Erik Seidel, Antonio Esfandiari, Sam Trickett and Phil Hellmuth.

Day 2 is on its way while I write this, so we will let you know how the pros do in the next days!

Will Daniel confirm his chip lead all the way to the final table? Stay tuned!
