With a nearly €600,000 overlay footed by Dusk Til Dawn in its Wembley Stadium debut just a little over three months ago, the International Stadiums Poker Tour (ISPT) has toned down its grand plans considerably in announcing its second tour stop.
Avoiding the stadium scene altogether, the ISPT website informs that the Casino de Tanger in Morocco will be the locale of the next event. Also avoiding grandeur projections of 30,000 players and a massive guaranteed prize pool as was originally announced for the ISPT launch in late May, the latest endeavor is guaranteeing a meek €90,000 to the first place winner.
Billed as ISPT Silver, the tournament features a €900 buy-in with re-entry and will be held from Wednesday, October 30 through Sunday, November 3. It is also being promoted as the Tanger Millionaire Maker, as the first place prize equates to about 1 million Moroccan Dirhams.
ISPT Silver will host three Day 1s on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Players who are eliminated can re-enter or win their way into a Day 1 via satellites. Those players advancing beyond Day 1 will bag their chips and hit the felt on Saturday, with the tournament scheduled to conclude on Sunday.
More details are expected to be released shortly. If past history is any indication, there may be a number of changes along the way.
