The return of high stakes action on Full Tilt Poker has been welcome news to the poker community as a whole, perhaps less so however for Gus Hansen.
Since the site reopened to the public on 6th November 2012, the Danish pro has dropped just over $3.8 million on the virtual felt according to HighstakesDB.
Notorious for his large downswings online, Hansen once again finds himself in familiar territory. In the summer of 2010, it was well documented that Hansen was down over $9 million on Full Tilt, and despite a steady recovery of his online record since then, it seems the Great Dane is once again struggling to gain traction on the site for which he is a sponsored player.
The 2007 Aussie Millions winner has been putting in substantial volume at the nosebleed mixed game tables, predominantly 8-game and Limit Omaha h/l, and the likes of ‘SallyWoo’ and Alex ‘Alexonmoon’ Luneau have been capitalising on Hansen’s bad run, the former taking significant six-figure sums off Hansen on several occasions.
However ‘The Great Dane’ shows no signs of quitting just yet, as he continues to frequent the tables on Full Tilt almost daily at the moment.
