Getzwiller and Klein Stage Comebacks, Win Bracelets

Two bracelets were awarded today on Day 9 of the 2011 World Series of Poker in the $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em and the $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em Six-Max events.

Sadan Turker held the chip lead and Jon Turner had the short stack, with Sean Getzwiller in between. When Turner moved all in, Turker called and won the hand.

Heads-up play between Turker and Getzwiller turned into an epic battle, as the two faced each other for almost six hours before Getzwiller pulled out a win to take home the bracelet and $611,185.

Day 3 of the $1500 No-Limit Hold’em Six-Max event started with 15 players. Eddie Blumenthal was the chip leader late in the day, and he outlasted the field to face Geffrey Klein in heads-up play. Blumenthal held 7.85 million chips to Klein’s 800,000, but Klein staged an incredible comeback, winning the bracelet and $544,388.
