Full Tilt vs PokerStars Challenge Scheduled for March 10

The Professionals versus Team PokerStars Challenge that started with friendly banter on Twitter between Gus Hansen and Daniel Negreanu will take place at EPT London on Sunday, March 10.

Hansen was permitted to select the matchups and has chosen Viktor “Isuldur1” Blom to square off against Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier at 10:00 ET. That match will be followed by Tom “durrrr” Dwan facing Isaac “luvtheWNBA” Haxton at 13:00 ET. The main match at 16:00 ET features Daniel “KidPoker” Negreanu hoping to win back a small portion of the $575,000 pot won by Hansen in 2006 on High Stakes Poker. All matches will be played on Full Tilt Poker.

Each pro will wager $50,000 per match and the players on the winning team will each be awarded $10,000 credit toward tournament buy-ins from the poker room that loses. Each heads-up match will be played on three tables that begin with stacks of 3,000 with blind levels increasing every 15 minutes. A match is won by winning two of the three tables. The title goes to the team who wins at least two matches.

Players and fans can win tickets to $10,000 freerolls and a maximum of $100 in cash through a Full Tilt Clash of the Poker Superstars promotion. To be eligible, a player must deposit or transfer at least $10 from March 1 through March 8. Then, select the winner of each match. A $10,000 freeroll ticket will be awarded for each correct pick. All three freerolls are slated for Sunday, March 17 at 10:05 ET, 12:05 ET and 14:05 ET. Pick the winners of all three contests and win cash in the amount of your largest transfer or deposit made during the qualifying period up to $100.
