Full Tilt Poker's MiniFTOPS XXII Kicks Off

Fulltilt Poker´s MiniFTOPS are under way with three new and exclusive tournament types: Irish Tournaments (Event #1), 5-Card Stud Tournaments (Event #25) and Escalator Tournaments (Event #30). Also there will be Multi-Entry Tournaments, Rush Tournaments, and Double Chance Tournaments like every year. In total there will be 38 events and $4,000,000 in guaranteed prize money up for grabs.

Event #1, No-Limit Irish, was played on Sunday with 3,805 entrants. The $26 buy-in tournament exceeded the $50,000 guarantee with a prize pool of $76,100. When it came down to heads-up on the final table, both players requested to discuss a deal. After a relatively quick negotiation U.K.’s Matthew “thegingerone45” Hunt took the top seat and shipped the first place prize of $11,849.21.

Event #2 ,The $22 no-limit hold’em, also took place on Sunday, There were a total of 13,134 entrants and a guaranteed prize pool of $350,000. Eventually mr_broomball won the top prize of $52,500.

The MiniFTOPS are going full speed on Monday as well, with three tournaments: Event #3, $22 PL Omaha Hi Rush with a guaranteed prize pool of $25,000; Event #4, $109 NL Hold’em 6-Max with a guaranteed prize pool of $200,000, and finally Event #5, $22 NL Hold’em Turbo with a guaranteed prize pool of $40,000. Satellites are currently under way for all three tournaments.

Fulltilt Poker´s MiniFTOPS are just like the FTOPS; they feature the same events, but with a one-tenth the buy-in. MiniFTOPS include six Rush Poker Tournaments, Double Chance Tournaments as well as nine Re-Entry Tournaments, which allow you to take another seat in the tournament if you are knocked out while late registration is available.

Fulltilt offers more than money in MiniFTOPS. They are offering a limited-edition MiniFTOPS jacket to all players who make the final table of a MiniFTOPS event and a silver MiniFTOPS jersey to winners from each event.

MiniFTOPS XXII will be completed with the Main Event on Sunday, May 5th at 13:00 ET. The Main Event will be a $70 + $5 buy-in Re-Entry Tournament and if players are knocked out during late registration they will be given the opportunity to re-enter.
