Full Tilt Poker Releases 23rd FTOPS Schedule

The 23rd edition of Full Tilt Poker’s online poker tournament, the Full Tilt Poker Online Poker Series (FTOPS), returns in August with promises of an $8 million prize pool given out over 39 events.

The series will kick off on Sunday, August 4, with Event #1: $200+15 No-Limit Hold’em Re-entry with a $500,000 guarantee; finishing with the $635 no-limit Hold’em Re-entry main event featuring a guaranteed prize pool of $1,500,000 at 6.30pm BST on August 18.

The FTOPS schedule will be offering one event more than the last FTOPS series but less than FTOPS XX, which had 45 events for the largest schedule the site has ever offered.

Texas Hold’em will dominate the tournament, but there will also be Five Rush tournaments, along with three new game types including five card Omaha (Event #9), six card Omaha (Event #28), and Courchevel (Event #13). Irish, five card Stud, and Escalator tournaments will also be held throughout the series.

Players who make the final table in any of the FTOPS events will be given a limited edition FTOPS jacket. Winners will also be given a jacket, a gold FTOPS jersey, and a gold jersey avatar for use on the Full Tilt Poker website. The player who finishes first on the FTOPS XXIII leader board will get the customised Full Tilt Poker avatar as well as a prize package that includes entry to every FTOPS XXIV event (except the Two-Day Event) worth around $11,000 in tournament entries.

There will also be an incentive for all the last players eliminated before the money of any of the August FTOPS events. Those players will be given a chance to win an entry to the August 24 “Bouncebackability” Freeroll tournament, where the first placed contestant will be registered in the following FTOPS XXIV Main Event.

Several satellite tournaments for all of the FTOPS events are being held from now until the tournament begins with the first such satellite tournament taking place last Friday on the Full Tilt website.
