FTOPS XXI Day 6 Highlights

Competition in Events #12 and #13 of the Full Tilt FTOPS XXI was fierce on Friday and included a victory by a transplanted American player. Brandon “norajean” Meyers took down Event #12, a $200 + $16 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em 6-Max. Now residing in Mexico due to Black Friday’s prohibition on U.S. players, Meyers pocketed $40,907 and has now claimed titles in both FTOPS and MiniFTOPS tournaments.

Meyers took to Twitter in announcing his victory, tweeting, “traded in the small silver jersey for a big gold one today #upgrademe #ftops.” A total of 981 entrants pushed the prize pool to $196,200 and allowed 120 players to cash in the event. In outlasting “ydere,” whose second place finish was good for $27,271.80, Meyers cracked the top ten in the FTOPS XXI Leaderboard.
