FTOPS XXI Day 11 Results

Events #25 and #26 were played on Day 11 of the 15-day FTOPS XXI series Wednesday and both tournaments more than doubled the guaranteed prize pool, which has been a familiar refrain throughout the entire online poker festival. The $7.5 million in prize money promised by Full Tilt prior to the start of FTOPS XXI will be absolutely shattered after the conclusion of all 35 events following next Sunday’s Main Event.

Event #25 featured a $300 + $22 buy-in for Heads-Up Pot-Limit Omaha that saw 235 entrants compete for $70,500 paid out over the top 32 positions. Another American refugee took the title and gold jersey. Kevin “-1SickDisease-” Eyster has established a new residence north of the U.S. border in Canada to continue his online pursuits. Eyster outduelled Joey “MTstackin88” Spanne, yet another relocated U.S. pro who found the Costa Rica sunshine more to his liking. The first place prize money totaled $17,272 for Eyster, who now sits in 14th place on the FTOPS XXI Leaderboard. Spanne pocketed $9,870 for his runner-up finish.

The final 6 players in Event #25:

Event #26 also had a $300 + $22 entry fee, with players buying in to play No-Limit Hold’em six-handed with rebuys. A total of 294 players and their rebuys pushed the prize pool up to $271,500. Thirty-six positions paid money, with the lowest receiving $1,629. When all was said and done, “swish3113” nabbed first place and $65,160 when his hole cards of 10-8 connected with another 8 on the river to win the title versus runner-up “Mutha Flushaa.” Second place was good for $42,082. Other notable finishes included Brandon “norajean” Meyers in fourth place for $22,263. Meyers won Event #12 on Friday and now holds down eighth place in the Leaderboard race.
