Your dreams have come true! European Poker Tour President Edgar Stuchly announced that this year’s PokerStars and Monte-Carlo®Casino European Poker Tour Grand Final will be the largest festival of cash games in the tour’s history.
The Pokerstars European Poker Tour is a series of poker tournaments similar to those in the World Poker Tour, created by John Duthie in 2004, winner of the inaugural Poker Million tournament. However this year, it will be a lot more than a series of poker tournaments. It will be filled with juicy cash games, cash games organized and run by EPT. They still will have full championship tournaments and side events and Sit & Gos. But this year, cash games are a part of the official European Poker Tour Grand Final schedule.
Of course this isn´t the first time the cash games are run in an EPT. Anyone who participated in an EPT tournament has seen cash games. But this time it is quite different than the past. This time cash games will be spread directly by EPT Grand Final. They will be ones deciding which games and limits will be spread.
Stakes from €2/€5 up to €1,000/€2000 will be offered in a huge variety of games including Hold’em, Omaha, Omaha 8, Stud, Razz, Stud 8, Draw, 2-7, Badugi, Badeucey, Badacey, Chinese, Open Face Chinese and more. They will be spread over 35 tables from 12pm to 6am. Moreover these games will be dealt by professional EPT dealers using shuffle machines to make the experience even better as we will be able to deal more hands per hour. Also there will be a special high stakes host for the nosebleed players.
Good news aren´t over yet; the rake will be as player friendly as it gets. Rake will be limited to 3% and there will be rake caps on each game. For €2/€5 games, the rake will be capped at €15. The €5/€10 and €10/€20 games are capped at €20. All bigger games will be capped at €25.
European Poker Tour President Edgar Stuchly this to be the largest festival of cash games in the tour’s history so he will personally be present there from the beginning to the end, overseeing that everything goes as planned. And that´s not an insignificant thing; Edgar Stuchly has almost 20 years experience in the poker industry, most recently with Casinos Austria, where he was Head of Poker for four years. In his time there he managed European Poker Championships, and founded the Casinos Austria Poker Tour (CAPT). In 2009 he was also recognized as ‘Poker Staff Person of the Year’ for his contributions to the live poker industry in Europe. Edgar is the official spokesperson for the EPT, helping refine the vision for the tour, improve the customer experience for participating players, and grow the brand across Europe.
So pack your bags, fill your pockets with cash and don´t miss the biggest cash game festival in the history of European Poker Tour Grand Final!
