After completing the two starting days of Thursday and Friday, 79 Danish players make up for almost half of the field as the remaining 165 players were seated at noon in the Danish capital for Day 2 of the Unibet Open. Plenty of countries are still represented as the field will be narrowed down to the final table scheduled for Sunday.
Frederik Jensen of Denmark (pictured), leads the field with 365k in chips ahead of fellow Dane Rasmus Vogt. Sweden has 31 players still in the competition, with last year’s winner Kassem Yassine among them. Other well-known Swedes include Micke Norinder, Paul Kristoffersson and Greger Aktell.
Later on today we will reach the bubble as 45 players will be paid here in Copenhagen. Finishing in 45th place is worth 16,000 Danish Kroner and first place will pay out 625,000 DKK. Play will continue on today until we reach the final nine that will return on Sunday to play for the Unibet Open Copenhagen 2014 crown.
