Dan Bilzerian's Response to Lawsuit Allegations

After the recent unfortunate events involving Dan Bilzerian and Janice Griffith involving one roof top and an  unfortunate landing, the porn star hinted in her interview for TMZ that she was thinking about filing a lawsuit against the millionaire. Although the carefree bachelor didn’t appear fazed too much by this possibility, his lawyer finally issued a statement in the form of an answer to Griffith’s lawyer.

The letter that was published is filled with some snide remarks as if it was written by Dan himself and not his lawyer and it actually shed some more light on the whole situation. The entire situation came to be as part of a photo shoot for Hustler magazine and Griffith agreed, in writing, to be thrown off the roof.

The tape shows the two carefully practicing this flight of fancy under Hustler’s direction and your client expressly agreeing to go ahead. In legal lingo, she assumed the risk.

But it would be unlike Bilzerian to just keep it simple and serious even when pertaining to legal matters and when his money is at stake, since the porn star asked for $85,000 in damages to be paid to her not long after the incident. The letter goes on to describe the incident in a very picturesque manner, to say the least.

Now, I am no physicist. And it won’t surprise you that I don’t have any relevant personal experience. So I don’t know the precise amount of the thrust it takes to heave someone across to a pool a floor below. But I’m also not blind. And it is apparent that Mr. Bilzerian’s shirt did not reach out and grab her.

Bilzerian’s lawyer does not stop at this, but also goes on to describe Griffith as someone who “overshares” on her Twitter account, naming a couple of porn-related hashtags she uses with her posts. He also emphasized the fact that the interview with TMZ and all the media attention she is getting due to this case are certainly not hurting her either.

Finally, the letter clearly explains that Bilzerian will not agree to any sort of out-of-court settlement but will also, should Janice decide to include him in her suit against Hustler, go after her, requesting legal damages to be paid to him due to this frivolous suit:

Your client should just box up almost every last bit of her property (please exclude all videos and photographs, as well as the seemingly inevitable small yappy dog) and drop it off with you in safe keeping for Mr. Bilzerian. After he receives the judgment in his favor, he will have it all delivered to him. Then he will probably blow it up with a mortar in the desert.

Another site,, has also reported on the letter, claiming to have a confirmation from someone on Bilzerian’s team about its authenticity, so, as hilarious as it may seem, the letter seems to be the real deal. In fact, we would be surprised to see anything different coming from Bilzerian and those close to him, as he is hardly the type of person to take things too seriously.

On the other hand, although written in a funny and playful manner, the response actually contains a couple of strong legal points and the fact that Bilzerian refuses to even consider a settlement for the amount that doesn’t represent more than a tiny fraction of his net worth indicate that his lawyer is quite sure about the lack of his client’s responsibility in the whole matter. Not trying to jump to conclusions or anything, but this might be the end of the story concerning lawsuit rumors – but who can ever be sure about anything when it comes to Bilzerian?
