Full Tilt Poker Routed Through Kahnawake Mohawk Territory

One day after the license allowing Full Tilt to operate an online poker room was suspended by the Alderney Gambling Control Comission, rumors are abuzz that Full Tilt may be trying to obtain a license from the Kahnawake Gaming Comission (KGC) to resume its games.

Although Full Tilt's IP address is still located in Ireland, Casino City Times reported that a trace route for the IP address shows that traffic is now routed through the Kahnawake Mohawk Territory. Although the trace did not show the final destination of the IP address, it is unlikely that the routing is unintentional.

Full Tilt has some history with the KGC, as they were at one time licensed by them. However, when the U.K. released new rules requiring online casinos and other gambling sites to be licensed by white-listed jurisdictions in order to run advertisements, the Kahnawake Mohawk Territory was not one of the jurisdictions allowed. As such, Full Tilt moved its license to Alderney, which is located off the northern coast of France, allowing the company to continue to market to a U.K. customer base.
