AGCC Announces Suspension of Full Tilt Poker

The Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) suspended Full Tilt Poker's operating license, requiring the site to suspend all operations in its jurisdiction immediately, AGCC said in a statement today.

Due to the suspension, Full Tilt may not register new customers, accept deposits from existing customers, allow existing customers to withdraw their funds, or permit customers to engage in any form of poker playing or gambling transaction.

According to the statement: "The decision to suspend these licenses follows a special investigation prompted by the indictments unsealed by US Attorney General’s Office in the Southern District of New York on 15th April 2011, during which grounds were found to indicate that these licensees and their business associates were operating contrary to Alderney legislation."

A hearing regarding the suspension is scheduled for July 26th, 2011.
