Winning Poker Network Doubles 'The Beast' Promo

Online poker players who enjoy leaderboard races will get to double their pleasure starting this month as the Winning Poker Network (WPN) has announced that its ‘The Beast’ progressive points race will be running twice monthly.

Previously formatted to run the entire month, The Beast will now operate two times a month beginning October 1 and offer competitions from the 1st to 15th, as well as the 16th through the last day of each month. That’s twice as much bonus cash available in the typically dozens of prizes doled out during each progressive points race.

Payouts will arrive in the accounts of winners on the 5th and 20th of each month. Those player accounts come from such skins as Americas Cardroom, True Poker and Black Chip Poker.

“We’re taking things to the next level with an enhanced format designed to reward more players, more often,” said Americas Cardroom spokesman Michael Harris. “A few days of serious grinding can represent a huge number of points in the bi-weekly competition, where as in the previous monthly structure a player would only make it to the top by earning consistent points throughout the entire month.”

The Beast is comprised of a tournament leaderboard and cash leaderboard that run simultaneously. The top point earner among cash players can win up to $20,000, while tournament leaderboard winners earn seats to online tourneys that can be parlayed into free entries and package deals to exciting live poker action.

Nearly $2 million in bonus cash has landed in player accounts at WPN since The Beast debuted and that number is likely to increase much quicker now that WPN is doubling the giveaway. WPN accepts players worldwide, including the U.S.
