The wait is almost over! Online gambling operator Unibet will release its new standalone poker software in six days, on February 19, 2014.
The old software will also be available after the launch date and will run in parallel with the new one in order to make the transition smoother for current users.
The product will feature 3D backgrounds, options to change avatars and screen names, plus a wide range of achievements and missions. “It will allow a much better customer experience and enable us to focus more on the recreational poker players,” Unibet CEO Henrik Tjärnström said at the 2013 Q4 Business Presentation.
Tracking software like HUDs will not be supported at all along with data mining. Users won’t have the possibility to watch other players and track the weaker ones; players will be seated randomly and will have to make adjustments on the go without any outside help and based solely on poker reads.
Furthermore, the rake will be adjusted, according to Unibet representatives. The €0.02/€0.04 No-Limit Hold’Em cash tables will have a much lower rake than that of their competitors; users who play higher like the €0.05/€0.10 stakes will also enjoy a lower rake. “This is based on the idea that if we remove less money from the bottom of the ecology, more players will move up.” Two Plus Two Unibet representative ‘Sciolist’ explained.
The highest stakes for the No-Limit cash tables will be €2/€4 at launch, but this will be subject to change in the future based on the mid-stakes action.
