PKR recently said farewell to Sofia Lövgren, the site’s first-ever female pro sponsor. However, Eleanor ‘Elz442’ Gudger signed on as a new pro just a few days ago, allowing PKR to keep its Team Pro roster intact.
Lövgren, who represented the site for four years, is moving on to new adventures. She gave “big thanks” to PKR upon her departure, expressing tremendous gratitude for the opportunity.
It is now six years since I started from the lowest levels building a bankroll on PKR,” Lövgren said. “After grinding millions of hands and just turning 20, I was given the responsibility to be the first female Team Pro. PKR has been like my second family and it has been an absolute pleasure to work with so many genuine and nice people and to represent this unique poker site and community.”
Lövgren’s latest endeavor will be revealed in a couple weeks, she tweeted. Meanwhile, Gudger is ecstatic at joining PKR, her online poker home since 2007.
After starting out seven years ago by winning $1 in a PKR freeroll tournament, Gudger has gone on to become the most prolific female tourney player in the site’s history. With career earnings over $225,000 in tournament play, the powers-that-be at PKR certainly took notice, resulting in the pro sponsorship deal.
Gudger has also found success on the live felt, winning the Binion’s Poker Classic Ladies Event and finishing runner-up in the WSOP Europe Ladies Event in 2011. Last year, a sixth place finish in the WSOP Ladies Championship was good for $27,045, running her live tournament cashes to over $65,000.
Best of luck to Lövgren and Gudger, as they both embark on new chapters in their careers.
