888poker bolstered their pro roster with the additions of Sofia Lövgren and Xuan Liu, both attractive young professional poker players with impressive resumes.
The word is out!!!! Team 888poker is very happy to announce its newest signings Xuan Liu and Sofia Lovgren!!!! Welcome ladies!!” stated an 888poker tweet.
Lövgren recently left PKR after four years of pro representation. She was named PKR’s first female Team Pro after building a substantial bankroll playing cash games online. The 24-year-old also made a successful transition to live tournament play.
Some of Lövgren’s best live tourney results include 16th place in the 2013 EPT London High Roller for $34,925 and a 30th place finish at the 2012 EPT San Remo Main Event for a payday of $24,532. Her poker portfolio also lists four WSOP cashes.
888poker feels totally right for me,” Lövgren told Poker Player Magazine, a publication that she also contributes articles to when not playing poker.
Liu hails from Toronto, Canada and was the first female player to land at a PCA Main Event final table. A fourth place finish in 2012 upped her career earnings by $600,000.
Those earning were already significant the year before when Liu finished third in the EPT San Remo Main Event for $524,705. She also has a championship to her credit, when she bested the entire field at the IPT San Remo in 2010 for more than $64,000.
Delighted to be a new 888poker ambassador,” Liu tweeted. “A great company with unlimited potential that has always kept poker fun.”
