The dream of many low-stakes players who grind out consistent profits online while working with a limited bankroll is to someday achieve enough recognition to land a pro sponsorship.
That dream came true for Patty ‘BabyTes’ Beaumier, who nabbed an ambassador position with PKR after showing incredible poker skills at the lower stakes tables. The 24-year-old beauty will now attempt to raise her game while representing PKR at live tournament events.
“I didn’t dare to believe it when I was asked to join the Team,” Beaumier said. “I think it will only sink in when I hear the floor say ‘shuffle up and deal’ at my first live event in the colours of PKR.”
Poker is not the only area where Beaumier excels, as the young poker pro received a Masters in law and is enrolled in the Graduate School of Journalism in Paris. While working on that second Masters degree, BabyTes will have to balance her school schedule with the upcoming World Series of Poker Europe that makes its first-ever Paris debut.
Beaumier is also scheduled to hit the tables at the PKR Live in London next month, as well as a number of tournaments in France scheduled for the beginning of next year. While not studying or playing poker, BabyTes lists cooking and playing the guitar as her other passions.
“We think Tess is a fantastic addition to the Team,” said the PKR website in announcing the latest addition to its pro roster. “She has a consistent profitable record online, she’s a smart cookie with a great personality, she looks the part and most important of all – she’s PKR through and through.”
