PKR has launched the Italian version of their site after cash game poker was legalised in the country, according to eGaming Review.

Along with cash games, Italian players can take part in Sit’n’Go’s and free-money tables. PKR will also produce a “PKR Open” and freeroll tournaments specifically for the Italian market.

Anybody who played on the .com site prior to legislation will be allowed to transfer their user-name, points and loyalty level to the Italian version, as well as benefit from the “first-time” deposit bonus.

Malcolm Graham, CEO of PKR, had this to say:

“We’re delighted to be able to welcome Italian players to The Italian poker market represents an exciting opportunity for PKR and we hope that players from all over Italy enjoy the unique PKR experience.”

Recently on PokerUpdate, it was revealed that PKR helped to open The Poker Wiki, an online encyclopedia dedicated to poker that will be updated by user content.
