PartyPoker’s version of fast fold online poker, FastForward, has been available to players for a couple months now. The no. 2 ranked online poker site introduced its version in August and is competing for a piece of the fast-fold market with PokerStars (Zoom Poker), iPoker (Speed Hold’em) and Microgaming (Blaze Poker). With Full Tilt set to relaunch on Nov. 6, the big daddy of them all—Rush Poker—will also return.
PartyPoker is currently running a “FastForward Happy Hours” promotion that allows players to earn double the PartyPoints when they play on FastForward tables during specified two-hour times. From 17:00 CET to 18:59 CET and then again from 23:00 CET to 01:59 CET, players will earn twice as many points as normal.
Whether the Happy Hours promotion will attract enough players to improve PartyPoker’s share of the fast fold market has yet to be determined. Zoom Poker currently dominates the market. However, the migration of players from Bwin to PartyPoker, which is expected to happen in coming months, will increase the PartyPoker fast-fold player pool substantially.
