Paddy Power Signs Mobile Casino Deal

Paddy Power has announced an agreement with Realistic Games to provide a number of mobile gambling products.

The multi-year deal allows Paddy Power to utilize Realistic Games software to offer fourteen games that are available for iPhones, iPads, and Android platforms. Currently, the games will include roulette, blackjack, and slot machines that will be played on the ReGal server via an Openbet RGI integration. In addition to these basic offerings, the new mobile gaming system provides popular slot games such as Pirate radio, Tutankhamun, and Snakes & Ladders. Paddy Poker has hinted that other games such as poker may available in the near future as well.

Like most operators, Paddy Power has invested heavily into its mobile sector in recent months and plans to expand upon the rapidly growing market. Recently, the operator has launched its own casino platform as an iPhone application and a casino application for iOS in partnership with Viaden Gaming.

The mobile gaming investment has paid major dividends for the operator as it contributed 32% of Paddy Power’s online revenues after a near 200% increase on its recent year-on-year revenue statistics.

Mobile gaming has become a major part of the online gambling market over the past year. Several operators including Playtech have debuted mobile offerings that have been successful. It is currently the fastest growing sector in online gambling and has bolstered revenues for several companies. Although the mobile sector is in the infancy stages, operators are planning to significantly enhance products on these devices as well as provide more games such as online poker.
