The latest promotion offered by PokerStars is Mission Week, which kicked off today and runs through April 30 and allows players to take a shot at $350,000 in prize money.
There are three missions to choose from and all require only a minimal amount of VPPs to be earned during the course of the week in order to win a free seat to any of three Mission All-In Shootout tournaments to be held on Friday, May 2. The tourney in which a player is seated depends upon the mission accepted and completed.
The ‘Easy’ mission requires the accumulation of 10 VPPs in any games on PokerStars to win a seat in a tournament guaranteeing a $50,000 prize pool to be held at 14:05 ET. The second option is the ‘Simple’ mission that promises a free entry into a $100,000 prize pool All-In Shooutout tournament at 15:05 upon collecting 30 VPPs. And finally, winning a free seat into the $200,000 prize pool event that kicks off at 16:05 ET is known as mission ‘Possible’ and requires only 80 VPPs.
Keep in mind that players must opt-in to only one mission and do so by entering star codes designated for each. EASY6, SIMPLE6 and POSSIBLE6 are the star codes to be used for each respective mission.
Entering star codes is slightly different depending on whether or not players log in via desktop or mobile devices. On a desktop, choose ‘Account’ while in PokerStars from the drop-down menu. Then click on ‘Enter Star Code’ and input the mission that you’ve accepted and plan to achieve. On iOS devices, click on ‘More’ in the PokerStars app on the bottom of the screen and then select ‘Settings & Tools’ beneath the ‘Account’ option, followed by ‘Enter Star Code.’ Those players logging on with Android devices should select ‘Settings & Tools’ > ‘Account’ from the extended menu and use the star code of their choice.
Upon completion of your chosen mission, PokerStars will send a confirmation email advising of your free tournament entry. Simply register manually for the All-In Shootout in which you’ve earned a free seat and let PokerStars do the rest. Players needn’t even log in and play on May 2, as all who have succeeded in accomplishing their mission and registered for the tournament will be all-in on each and every hand until a winner is declared. The first place prize of the ‘Possible’ mission is a whopping $20,000.
