A 10-year agreement signed in July between Playtech and Gala Coral was completed with Coral Poker joining the iPoker network.
Coral Poker is one of the oldest online poker rooms. It was previously located on the Ongame Network, which was recently acquired by Amaya Gaming in Canada from bwin.party. Gala Casino, Gala Bingo and Gala Poker already have transitioned to Playtech, iPoker's parent, with Coral Poker's move the last step in the deal. A previous online poker skin under the Gala Coral umbrella (Eurobet Poker) shut down last year.
Loyal Coral Poker players concerned about losing their player points needn't worry. “We have converted points on the old software for a cash equivalent amount," said a statement on the Coral website. "Download the new client now to collect your bonus. If you haven’t played with us for a while but had points available please contact us and we will be happy to convert them for a cash equivalent.”
The transition allows Coral Poker players to enjoy iPoker's "Speed Hold'em" fast-fold variant. Gala Coral is one of the largest gaming operators in the United Kingdom.
