Betting Partners, parent company of Bodog.eu, has announced that it will no longer supports Skrill (Moneybookers) as a payment method.
The online gambling operator has stated that its decision to drop Moneybookers has been due to the high fees and the lack of interest from its customers. Bodog.eu has also stated that it will no longer provide payments to its affiliates through this ewallet.
A notice has been sent to bodog.eu affiliates and players alike to immediately change payment methods. The site recommends that players and affiliates move transactions to international bank wires (available in CAD, EURO, or GBP), NETeller (USD), or Courier (North America).
Moneybookers or Skrill has been a highly popular method of transaction for online gambling sites over the past few years. The ewallet is widely used on European based sites and by poker players around the world. The convenience and security of the ewallet has been viewed as a positive for those players making several transactions with online gambling sites.
However, the ewallet is known for some steep fees and some online poker rooms have shied away from its use due to this rake.
