Are you ready for some online poker action this weekend? If so, we can point you to the poker sites that have the best promotions running. Take a look below and discover how to maximize your time spent on the virtual felt during the final weekend in January!
The BIG Deal
For players in the regulated states of New Jersey and Nevada, WSOP.com has rolled out a new offering called “The BIG Deal” that will take place the last Sunday of every month. It’s a $30,000 guaranteed tournament in New Jersey and $20,000 GTD in Nevada.
While those are the same prize pools of the typical Sunday majors on both sites, The BIG Deal replaces those events on the final Sunday of each month with a different buy-in and structure. Players begin with double the starting stack at 10,000 in chips, and blind levels are extended five minutes to 20.
The buy-in has been upped from $200 to $500, but the rake has been lowered from 7.5% to 6.6%. For players who feel that the entry fee is a bit steep, $5 super satellites have been running at 6:15 p.m. every day and $50 weekly satellites that guarantee five seats are offered as well. Now that’s a BIG Deal!
Super XL Series
Records are being set for player entries at the Super XL Series at 888poker and this weekend’s action may continue on that same path. There are 15 events of the 38-event series scheduled for this Friday through Sunday, including the Main Event, and Mini, Micro, Turbo, and Super Turbo Main Events!
No matter what your budget is, you can find at least a tournament or two to your liking. The Micro Main Event requires only a $5 buy-in, while the high rollers will pay the entry fee of $1,050 for the $1,000,000 GTD Main Event. If your budget lies somewhere in-between, how about $75, $109 or $160 for the Super Turbo, Turbo and Mini Main Events, respectively?
Casual Cash Games
Do you sometimes get annoyed at the cash game players who play at a ton of tables simultaneously and take far too much time to act? Do you wish you could play on a poker table where your table mates are all only playing one cash game?
Bwin Poker has the answer with its Casual Cash Games! Your opponents will not be multi-tabling grinders. All players are restricted to just one cash game. It’s the perfect place for beginners and recreational players who want to avoid the pros. It’s casual, baby!
Cash Game Quests
This is the final weekend to win a random prize of $1 to $10,000 in the Cash Game Quests promo at PokerStars. Zoom Poker and Texas Hold’em cash game players at stakes of at least $0.05/$0.10 are eligible.
Each daily quest consists of three challenges. Players who opt in and complete the challenges in the proper order receive a random cash prize up to $10,000!
The challenges are not that difficult. For instance, here is the quest for Sunday, January 31: 1) Win 10 hands; 2) Get dealt pocket Deuces; 3) Win a hand with a full house. Easy enough, right? Get over to PokerStars this weekend to complete a quest and win some cash!
