What are your plans for the 4th of July this year? Perhaps enjoying some time at the beach and fun in the sun by day? Followed by watching fireworks with friends and family in the evening? How about being seated at the final table of the first-ever WSOP online bracelet tournament?

If your goal is the latter, you are not alone. Heavy participation is expected in the history-making Event #64, where players within Nevada will pony up $1,000 in hopes of being the winner of an online gold bracelet, becoming immortalized in the process.

The action for Event #64 gets underway on July 2 at 12:00 noon. Play will continue until the final six players emerge. Action will not resume on July 3, instead taking a hiatus until Independence Day, as the six-handed final table will transition to live play at 12:00 noon on July 4 in the Amazon Room of the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

Travel, Relax, Prepare or Enter Another Event

July 3 has been reserved as a travel day for players in Nevada who make the final table but may be quite a distance from Las Vegas. Those online bracelet final tablists who are already in Las Vegas have plenty of options on how to spend the off-day. Event #66, the $777 buy-in Lucky Sevens, is one, while Event #67, the $10,000 Dealers Choice Championship, is another.

Or, another option for the final six combatants is to relax and take it easy, perhaps fine-tuning or working on their live game. Making the move from competing on your sofa or the privacy of your hotel room to playing in front of live-streamed coverage in the Amazon Room will require a bit of thought and strategical maneuvering.

No doubt, the six final players will be up for the challenge, as the crowning achievement of first-ever online gold bracelet winner is at stake. While other such WSOP online/live bracelet tournaments are sure to follow in subsequent years, none will have the glitter and fascination as the maiden event.

Satellite Your Way to History

Satellites for the Online Bracelet Event are running now at in Nevada. Players can earn the $1,000 entry fee at a small fraction of the cost.

Those players who are perhaps not fond of satellites and are prepared to plunk down the buy-in of a grand and would like to pre-register online can do so now. Pre-registration for the Online Bracelet Event will be open through June 18.

Players can also register early for other events of the 46th annual WSOP, including the $777 Lucky Sevens or the big daddy of them all – the $10,000 Main Event. This year’s Main Event will run from July 5-14 and has guaranteed at least $1 million to each of nine final tablists who will stop competing on July 14 and reconvene in November to decide the 2015 WSOP ME champ.
