Suspect in Black Friday Indictments Detained

Ira Rubin, a U.S. citizen accused of helping online poker companies circumvent U.S. laws prohibiting the processing of gambling payments, was detained Wednesday.

Rubin was one of 11 people charged by the U.S. Department of Justice in a crackdown on Internet poker.

Rubin stands accused of helping set up fake websites and companies to process hundreds of millions in payments.

Rubin was taken into custody in Guatemala and brought back to the U.S., where he plans to face the charges, his lawyer said.
