The US Attorney for the Southern District of New York has given Full Tilt, PokerStars and Absolute Poker until January 2, 2012 to respond to the amended civil complaint issued on September 20. This follows a similar extension granted last month.
In other court-related news, Howard Lederer and Rafe Furst filed claims on November 28 to various seized bank accounts. Last month, Chris Ferguson, on behalf of Full Tilt operating companies Vantage and Kolyma, made claims to $98,276,540 in seized funds. Separate claims were filed on behalf of Filco, Tiltware Pocket Kings and Pocket Kings Consulting.
Behnam Dayanim, an attorney associated with Groupe Bernard Tapie (GBT), told PokerStrategy at the time: "We had no involvement in the filing of the claims, but we were aware that they were being filed. The claims present no concern to us, and likewise present no concern with respect to our ongoing negotiations with the DOJ."
