French operator ChiliGaming has announced plans to open an office in California, America’s largest poker market, and roll out a free social gaming poker network. Like Playtech who penned a deal to launch play money games in June, ChiliGaming is eyeing legislation that will open up the online gambling market in the United States.
Chief Executive Alexandre Dreyfus said: “The gaming market is evolving and Chiligaming is evolving with it by expanding its operation to become an active social gaming player in addition to an established online gaming operator…Chiliplay.com will be the first brand to launch on the network and we will be welcoming more partners now that all the devices for access are ready.”
It marks ChiliGaming’s first move into the US market, and comes several months after the operator integrated Facebook updates with player accounts as part of its Chiliconnect social media innovation.
Earlier this week, PokerUpdate reported that Paddy Power, also on the Playtech-owned iPoker network, is preparing to enter the US market for the first time and could be licensed in Nevada by the end of November.
