According to PokerScout’s latest weekly online poker traffic update, PokerStars continues to flourish after the suspension of Full Tilt’s operating licenses on Junes 29. According to the update:
“PokerStars continues to pick up market share in the wake of the Full Tilt Poker shutdown. Since Full Tilt lost its license in June, PokerStars traffic has increased 30%, although half of the increase is attributable to an expected late-summer seasonal bounce. The influx of players at PokerStars alone accounts for 65% of the players lost from Full Tilt.
Worldwide, PokerStars dominates the market to an extent that hasn’t been seen since the heyday of PartyPoker in 2003-2004. When PokerStars.it and PokerStars.fr players are included, the PokerStars brand now constitutes more than 50% of the worldwide online poker market. Among the dot-coms, PokerStars has a 54% market share.”
PokerScout ranks networks by a rolling seven-day average of cash game players.
