Online Poker Player Traffic Update

Last week, player traffic at online poker sites saw an overall decrease of 4.4%, with nine of the top ten sites and networks showing a drop in players.

From the same time last year, player traffic is down 10%, even though an influx of money and players entered the online poker arena when Full Tilt relaunched last November. Also, the Spanish online poker market was not open one year ago.

No changes were reported among the top ten sites and networks, but fourth ranked iPoker Network appears to be gaining ground on third place PartyPoker in the seven-day average tabulations of PokerScout. A new skin from Dusk Till Dawn, the United Kingdom’s largest land-based poker club, will launch on iPoker next week and may bring the network even closer to PartyPoker in player traffic numbers.

Just beyond the top ten sites and networks, Bodog landed in 11th place and recently surpassed the Revolution Gaming Network to take the top spot among U.S.-facing networks.
