Poker Night in America Heads to Maryland Live! Casino

A new tour stop has been announced by Poker Night in America as the production crew is preparing to set up cameras at the Maryland Live! Casino for the $1 Million Live! Poker Classic scheduled for March 10-24.

A total of nine events with $1 million in guaranteed prize money combined will be hosted in The Poker Room at Maryland Live!, with the featured $3,500 Main Event and $400,000 guaranteed prize pool scheduled to commence on March 21.

The Main Event final table set for Monday, March 24 will be recorded for airing at a later date, as will two separate cash games on Tuesday, March 25. The cash game action requires a buy-in from $5,000 to $20,000 and is by invitation only.

Already invited and committed to competing under the bright lights are 2012 WSOP Main Event champ Greg Merson, “Bet Raise Fold” star Danielle ‘dmoongirl’ Andersen, and former World Poker Tour Player of the Year Gavin Smith. Merson is a native of Maryland and will be under the gun to bring his A-game on his home turf.

Seats remain open for the cash game action and an email sent to castingcall@pokernight.com along with a decent bankroll could garner an invite for those interested. Include your contact information and several reasons why you may be worthy of consideration.

The first broadcast of Poker Night in America from previous tour stops is set for April 27, 2014. Comcast Sportsnet Mid-Atlantic is one of the channels where fans can tune in to see the show. An as yet unannounced national cable network will also be airing the poker programming, with details to be revealed shortly.
