Playsino has launched a Facbook version of its popular online poker game, Playsino Poker, following in the footsteps of Zynga’s wildly popular, Texas HoldEm Poker which already boasts 30 million active users a month.
However, unlike Zynga’s offering, Playsino promises four simultaneous tables of poker action in 15 languages.
“The latest offering in our social casino suite of games, Playsino Poker, will immerse players in the most realistic experience of the classic card game available,” said Alex Kelly, Playsino’s chief executive officer in a press release. “We have incorporated the most popular features from the real money online poker experience including playing almost anyone in the world in their native language, playing at multiple tables at the same time, viewing detailed hand histories and employing a player skill evaluation tool.”
The company, which is part of the Playsino Publishing Network, is a specialist in “social” casino games and already has Bingo World and Solitaire And Prizes among its Facebook offerings.
The company hopes to tap into a market in social gaming which analysts at Morgan Stanley predict will grow from $1.7 billion today to $2.5 billion by 2015.
Playsino Poker will include an interactive Buddy List which lets players browse what stakes friends are playing and join them at their tables in a points-based free-to-play online poker game. Aside from the missing cash element, Playsino says the it’s social poker game will bring the look and feel of real poker.
