Playtech Extends Deal with Finland's RAY

Playtech and Finland state gaming operator Rahaautomaattiyhdistys (RAY) have extended their license agreement by signing a two-year deal.

In 2010, the Finnish government amended RAY’s license to allow online gambling. Since that time, Playtech has provided RAY with online poker, casino and mobile products following a successful bid that resulted in a four-year contract.

RAY holds an exclusive right to run all of Finland’s licensed gambling operations. The company reported gross gaming revenue of €50 million last year, with 6% of that attributable to online gambling, eGR reported.

“With the recent launch of Playtech’s mobile casino, RAY will have yet another platform to drive revenue and engage players in the Finnish market for years to come,” Playtech COO Shay Segev said. “RAY is a strategic Playtech partner, demonstrating our strong position in regulated markets.”
