PokerStars has bought former iPoker skin Cara de Poker to augment the operator’s player base in the newly regulated Spanish market. As of November 30, the Spanish site has been rebranded by PokerStars.
Players with Cara de Poker accounts will have to open accounts with PokerStars before existing balances can be transferred. Loyalty points will be converted to FPPs based on a multiplier.
Sources close to iPoker claim that Cara de Poker made up nearly one-fifth of the network’s Spainish traffic.
Cara de Poker was put up for sale on November 18, the same day operators began formally applying for the first wave of licenses.
