Sportingbet has acquired two Danish sportsbook companies that have recently acquired the new Danish licences for their regulated market, according to EGR Magazine.

Having first been announced in October last year, Sportingbet will pay up to £8.5 million for both Danbook and Scandic to advance its position in European countries with regulated markets.

Danbook and Scandic were some of the first gambling companies to acquire Danish operating licences, and will now be under the Sportingbet brand.

The acquisition includes fixed-odds sport betting, casino games and their poker clients, which are currently with the Ongame network.
