The online poker and gambling industry will certainly endeavor to be apprised of the goings-on at the exclusive Bitcoin conference. A small number of online poker sites are using Bitcoin to process payments, with still others believed to be considering adding the digital currency to their deposit and withdrawal options.
The Bitcoin London Conference will be attended by Bitcoin investors, entrepreneurs and business professionals with the goal of sharing ideas and learning about Bitcoin’s potential for Internet acceptance worldwide. According to Bodog Brand founder Calvin Ayre, those scheduled to take part in the conference include representatives from BitPrice, Bitstamp, Bitstant, and Coindesk, among others.
The lack of regulation of Bitcoin as a digital currency remains one of its attractive features, as well as one of its drawbacks. Regulation concerns have recently sprung U.S. authorities into action in hopes of preventing the currency from being used in money laundering schemes.
