Bally Technologies has formed a partnership with Shuffle Master and the Ongame Network in an effort to increase their business internationally, as well as in the U.S. marketplace beginning with Nevada.
As the first company in history to receive approval for an online poker license from the Nevada Gaming Control Board last week, the partnership allows Bally Technologies to add another poker software platform to its recent purchase of the Chiligaming platform acquired just a few months ago.
“Bally is pleased to offer Ongame’s proven poker platform, which will provide a unique offering through its integration on Bally’s iGaming platform,” said John Connelly, Bally Technologies’ Vice President of Business Development, in a press release. The merger is beneficial to players, as it will create a “combined liquidity pool for our customers,” Connelly added.
Shuffle Master purchased the Ongame Network for €19.5 million from Bwin.party in March, which includes a provision to pay €10m in additional funds over the course of five years following the legalization of online poker in the United States. Shuffle Master and Bally currently provide an array of gaming technology to casino companies such as MGM Resorts International, Las Vegas Sands and Wynn Resorts.
