This site has been developed and maintained by Andrew Kinsman, author of Poker on the Internet and online poker professional. I am a chess International Master, and I also won a Grandmaster tournament in the UK a few years back. However, my chess-playing activities are rather restricted nowadays due to other commitments and interests. I am author (or co-author) of four chess books.

Although I currently play mainly online, I also regularly play 'live' in Brighton and London. I have also played at the Bellagio, Mirage, Orleans, Palms, Aladdin, Bally's, Golden Nugget and Binion's Horseshoe in Las Vegas, the Commerce, Bicycle, Hustler and Hollywood Park in Los Angeles, Bay 101 and Garden City in San Jose, Artichoke Joe's in San Francisco, Ocean's 11 in Oceanside, Sycuan and the Lucky Lady in San Diego, the Fitzwilliam in Dublin, Casino Barcelona in Barcelona and the Park Casino in Slovenia.

In July 2003 I won the 55-player 2nd Gutshot Heads-up Championship, a knock-out tournament held over a nine-month period, defeating Late Night Poker regulars Joe Beevers and Barny Boatman from the Hendon Mob in individual matches along the way. My defence of the title began in August with a victory over Jon Shoreman, another regular on Channel 4's Late Night Poker TV series, but I lost in the next round.

In December 2004 I reached the final table of the 1000 euro buy-in Italian Open Poker Championship in Slovenia.

When not playing or writing about poker or chess, I am usually working on some book publishing or web design project or another!
